When I look into your eyes I can see a love restrained But darlin' when I hold you Don't you know I feel the same 'Cause nothin' lasts forever And we both know hearts can change And it's hard to hold a candle In the cold November rain

Am I too ambitious this semester? I hope not. If everything goes smoothly, Ill have to cope with five modules (two of which are super heavy), a part-time job as a student IT assistant and a weekend job as a tutor. Would I find it stressful or challenging? Can I wake up a Hercules every morning, ready to conquer the world, or would I feel like a vulnerable girl, a little confused and afraid of what the future may hold?

Moody. After I showed my mom the photos I took at Perhentian Island, she hinted ever so slightly that she doesnt like me hanging around guys so much. What? You went with just two guys? I thought you would have more company! And you stayed in the same room with them?! And you went SO FAR! An hour train ride to Kranji, another forty-five minutes bus ride across the Causeway to Malaysia, a further eleven hours by coach to Kota Bahru, then half an hour cab ride to Besut, and another thirty minutes of travelling on a fast boat, and ten more minutes on a sampan to our final destination Perhentian Island. Sounds far, aye? But how far is it compared to Vietnam, Beijing and Australia? I understand her concerns, but, seriously, Terengganu is not really far from home.

Alright. I admit its my fault for not telling her how long Ill be away for. I cant, because I didnt know where we were going, whos going with me, or when Ill be back. All I knew was I was in safe hands. These guys are experienced. E-jins a die-hard snorkelling fan, and Boons fresh out of the army. Theyre so absolutely sure of what to do, so I just tagged along. I only got bitten by mosquitoes once in that bug-infested place! Besides, I really need to get away from everything for a while. A special retreat somewhere, where stress, school work, phonecalls, and the Internet doesnt get to me. Just burning in the sun, lying on the sand and skin-diving the sea for three whole days. Cool.

May the Lord grant me peace in my heart. All the changes going on right now are making my inner soul sore and beaten, torn and wearied. This girl needs some rest.
